Lions Easter Egg Contest
The Fishguard & Goodwick Lions Easter Egg Contest was a great success with 23 businesses participating this year. The winner of the Easter Egg Challenge Trophy was The Pendre Inn, Fishguard who raised £139 for the Lions Charity account. Runners up were Mason and Phillips £130 and Janes Wool Shop third with £100.
The individuals who won the egg raffles were: - Abergwaun – Billy Baskerville, Bay Hotel – Hazel Davies, Bennetts Tavern – Christine Lloyd, Cambrian Inn – Alan Foster, Castle Hotel – Jordan Walker, Coach House – Andrea Worvil, Farmers – Jacky Edwards, Fishguard Arms – Rob Evans, Gate Inn – Derek Miles, Glendower – Bernard, Golden Lion – Guto, Hope & Anchor – Phil, Janes Wool Shop – Mrs Sharpe, Mason & Phillips – Mrs Spot, Pendre Inn – Matthew Creed, Railway Club – Irene Thomas, Rose And Crown – Rebecca Williams, Royal Oak, Fishguard – Dai, Royal Oak, Newport – Adam, Ship & Anchor – Mayor Richard Davies, Ship Aground – Sue Younger, Ship, Lower Town – Barrie Owen
The total raised was over £1000. Thanks to all the businesses who hosted an egg, to everyone who entered the raffles and to M W Hall, Goodwick Marine and Fishguard Carpets for sponsoring the contest.
As always, all the money will be used to support local charities and good causes.
Easter Egg Challenge Trophy
Fishguard & Goodwick Lions visited the Pendre Inn in Fishguard on Friday 11 April for a pleasant drink and for the presentation of the Lions Easter Egg Challenge Trophy. Lion President, John Jones presented the Trophy to a delighted Jason and Charlotte. The Pendre pipped 22 other businesses by raising £139 in the Easter Egg Raffle for the lions charity funds. President John again thanked Jason and Charlotte for their support, together with everyone who had supported the contest, and wished them success in retaining the trophy next year. As always, all the money will be used to support local charities and good causes.
